Access Statement

• Totnes railway station is six miles away There are plenty of taxis and we are able to arrange pick up for guests if taxis are not available.

• The Old Rectory is ten minutes drive from the A 38 which offers easy access to Plymouth and Exeter.

• There is a tarmac drive and gravelled parking spaces for six cars. There is no garaging but we can store bikes in our outside sheds.

• The Old Rectory parking area is flat and well-lit at the front and side at night.

• The house is on two levels, with a downstairs bedroom which offers its own flat access directly from the outside of the house. This room has a bathroom with a shower and bath. The shower has a firm handle support and seat. It is a “wet room" style, offering easy access.

• The remaining bedrooms are on the first floor which is reached by a wide easy rising staircase with 23 steps. (See photo on About Us page.) The staircase has a wooden balustrade

• The ground floor is level throughout with wooden flooring in the hall and dining room. There are occasional rugs on the floors.

• All the upstairs rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms. All our bathrooms have double baths and showers.

• All the upstairs bedrooms have fitted carpet

• Bedrooms are equipped with kettles, TVs , DVD players, radios and hairdryers.

• There is a mini fridge on the landing for fresh milk and in which guests can store their own snacks.

• All rooms have a range of teas, coffee and biscuits.

• There is a guest living room which is available for use all day

• We are fully licensed.

• We offer evening meals, by arrangement up, to four times a week. We can cater for special diets at breakfast and dinner.
